PML-N seeks details of Pakistanis detained abroad

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) submitted a resolution in the provincial assembly, on Thursday, seeking details of the detained Pakistanis in foreign countries. The resolution was submitted by the PML-N-backed member in PA, Ziaullah Shah, in the Notice Branch of the PA. Through the resolution, he requested the federal government to provide all details about the Pakistanis who had been detained abroad. The federal government was also asked to provide the actual figure of the detained Pakistanis and the name of the concerned foreign countries. The resolution also asked the federal government to inform them about the steps that had been taken by the federal government for the detainees’ release. Progress of the Foreign Office was also targeted in the resolution, wherein it asked as to what steps the Foreign Office had taken for the detainees’ release.It was further mentioned in the resolution that the federal government should tell if these detained Pakistanis were handed over to foreign countries from the country’s soil. staff report
